UIS women's soccer climbs to 4-0

Sophomore Macy Martin’s game-winning goal with five minutes three seconds left lifted the University of Illinois Springfield to a 1-0 win against Quincy and earned the Prairie Stars a 4-0 overall record Friday.

UIS is 4-0 for the first time in program history and is one victory away from tying the program record for wins. The Stars set the record at five in 2015.

Martin scored off an assist by sophomore Karisa Rogers with little time left in a Great Lakes Valley Conference opener at SASA Fields.

UIS freshman goalkeeper Courtney Johnson logged 10 saves. Quincy out shot UIS 18-10.
