University of Illinois Springfield junior
Taryn Christy won the women’s 10,000 meters for the second straight time and freshman Cortland Ross won his first title in the same race on the men’s side at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday at Allgood-Bailey Stadium.
Christy’s time of 34 minutes 48.34 seconds was a new school and GLVC record. She also won the race in 2019.
