The University of Illinois celebrated research day at the capitol Thursday, April 26.
A total of 12 students from the University of Illinois Springfield made poster presentations of their research and also took questions from lawmakers.
The students presenting their research were selected by a committee.
This is the third annual Undergraduate Research Day.
